As an Army Officer and later as a Plant Manager, I was always on the side of management.  I even had the opportunity to be on the opposite side of the table from the Teamsters Union during contract negotiations.  I now find myself on the other side as a member, steward and officer of my American Federation of Government Employees Local.  It provides a unique perspective.
